A recent addition to our initiatives is the establishment of a thriving Chess Club, which initially attracted members from the two local schools.

Since its inception, the club has grown rapidly and now boasts an impressive 60 members. Under the dedicated leadership of Peter-John Takelo, the Chess Club has not only become a popular activity but also a platform for excellence, with members participating in tournaments across the province and achieving notable success.

In a recent highlight, the Club issued a bold challenge to the wider village community, inviting them to test their skills in a lively Saturday morning chess event. This friendly competition not only showcased the talent within the club but also fostered a spirit of camaraderie and engagement between the players and the community.
